When I started Vibrant Life, some 20+ Years ago, I did my research in a very primitive way compared to the research tools now available, not available then and I was a very very different person than I am now at 80 years of age.

The research tools now include standard use of the entire online Encyclopedia Britannica. My membership for that fee-paid service gives me a "premium" access to information and permission to quote from it as I've done of the Britannica articles listed above.

My personal ability at knowing the truth and my skills at speaking the truth have also greatly improved based on my spiritual counseling and personal advancement in my religion of Scientology. I have many pages on my Scientology background on this web site, particularly because of the new services soon to be released by the Church of Scientology and referenced on many pages on this web site.

My interest in this Cystine subject got tweaked when a person wrote one of those personal letters to Karl Loren forwarded to me by Cliff Woods:

Dear Karl,

l have very limitd knowledge of vitamins & alternative remedies other than reading a fair amount on the subject, but in my limited knowledge i thought cysteine produced homecysteine ( not certain if thats how its spelt) which built up in the brain which in turn could be a contributing cause of alzheimers ?

Many years ago I had the write to Karl Loren offer on all my web sites, and, indeed, received every one of them and personally answered all of them.

Two things have happened to change that:

  1. I've now written well over 100,000 web pages and have written a lot of stuff on a lot of subjects. It is very possible that some new query is easily handled by some already-published page, one which the reader just didn't see.
  2. I'm now retired from Vibrant Life. I'm busy on new projects so I don'w have as much time as I used to spend to answer these queries.

But I've asked Clifford Woods, the Executive Director of Vibrant Life, now that I'm retired, to screen these incoming messages "to Karl Loren" and I've given him my screening criteria for his sending a message to me.

This query arrived on Friday, January 20, 2012, forwarded to me by Mr. Woods.

Years ago it was not unusual for me to get a query like this one and spend a month researching an article to publish on a web site. As you read my many web sites you'll often find where I acknowledge someone for sending a query and answering it in detail.

I'm doing that today for one very special reason.

Cystine is the central core of a subject which saves lives and restores health. That word has been manipulated around with many alternative spellings and many other myths spread by the drug industry which doesn't want you to know how easy it is to solve the heart disease problem.

I've never written the full story about Cystine, so will write it here and now.

First notice that the query spelled the word as "Cystiene" and I have used "Cystine."

There is a world of difference between the meanings of the two words when spelled differently.

I quote again what is now central to my life:

“Apparently during the last decade, a new factor has entered into the culture that was previously only rare, possibly due to lowered educational standards or the declining nature of the culture itself, but most probably due to one of the common drugs or medications or even food deficiencies. Put in more simple terms, the ability to accurately OBSERVE is mostly missing from our culture, perhaps 98% less ability than 50 years ago.

It is NOT a PUT-DOWN of Marilyn that she asks about "Cystiene" and she should have taken the time to learn what that word means. Perhaps she would then have discovered that "Cystine" is the better word to learn?

I give you the reader a choice. Either keep mystified that something is wrong but you don't know what? or, Take some Scientology courses and get started on the right track to truth and understanding, even if normal words are still used by people who don't understand them.

YOU CAN IMPROVE your ability to observe.

The above is not likely to happen after ONE drink, but it does happen.

The guy drinks more alcohol.  It is VERY unpredictable as to what he will SEE when he looks at the cat.  He may see the cat, he may see Aunt Mary, he may see a tiger.  He may turn in fear to escape the tiger, he may try to kiss the cat since he SEES his girlfriend.

Here is a guy who has just drunk lots of alcohol. He SEES that his view is fuzzy.  He knows that he is under the influence.
  

Here is a different phenomenon.  Many people who have drunk too much alcohol have experienced that their vision gets blurred.  They know they can't see straight.  In many of the other examples in this series the drunk sees very clearly, but sees something that is not there.  In this example he sees what is there, but the picture is blurred or fuzzy. 

Believe it or not 99% of your fellow humans suffer from this phenomenon. Why else would they vote for Obama?

Am I too blunt or too opinionated for you?

We operate now on a planet that uses feelings not logic to arrive at conclusions.

Is Marilyn going to read all this just to understand the answer to her question? Maybe?

They are different words.

Marilyn worries that "cystein" can turn into "homocystein," and that, she says, is deadly.

Many doctors, most of them don't really understand the cause of heart disease. I do. I wrote about that many years ago.

One common problem among "doctors" and "scientists" who claim to know the cause of heart disease is their lack of logic. They often feel that when a substance (homocysteine) is found in abundance in the bodies of people who have died of heart disease (and not in other dead bodies) that "homocysteine IS the cause of heart disease."

This is false.

The truth is that "something" is causing both heart disease and high levels of homocysteine, and they still don't know what that "something" is....

I do.
